The more you learn...

The more questions you seem to have?

At first, that feels backward.

Shouldn't learning reduce the number of unanswered questions?

In some ways, it does.

But genuine curiosity has an interesting habit.

Every answer opens a door to another question.

Children understand this naturally.

They ask "Why?" over and over, not because they're trying to be difficult, but because they're trying to understand how the world works. To them, every answer is simply the beginning of another discovery.

As we grow older, something changes.

Responsibilities grow. Schedules fill our days. Experience gives us confidence, and sometimes that confidence quietly convinces us that we've already seen enough.

The questions become fewer.

Not because the world has become less fascinating.

Because we've become less willing to pause long enough to wonder.

Curiosity isn't a sign that you don't know enough.

It's often a sign that you've realized how much there still is to discover.

That's one of the reasons Second Look exists.

Not to convince anyone of extraordinary claims.

Not to tell people what to believe.

Simply to encourage something that has driven explorers, scientists, inventors, archaeologists, engineers, and ordinary people throughout history:

The willingness to ask one more question.
